Today I did a basic vinyasa class. It was short and sweet and energizing – a great beginner to intermediate class for anyone interested in learning about the vinyasa style of yoga. This class begins and ends with a hang drum player – a nice treat! Here’s a link to the class.

After the class you can see me sit up – I did 7 rounds of nadi shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) and 3 rounds of kapalabhati, also known as breath of fire, shaman’s breath or shining skull breath. These techniques balance the meridians (prana or chi channels in the body) and clear toxins.

I’m still coming off of two hamstring injuries so my legs are quite stiff! Better on some days and not on others. It’s a journey.
